Acrylic Painting Art Class for Adults

Step into a midweek creative pause and lose yourself in paint.

Our Wednesday evening acrylic painting sessions are designed for adults who want to explore painting in a relaxed, welcoming studio environment—whether you’re returning to art after a long break or a complete beginner this class is for you.

Across the term, we’ll work with acrylic paint through a variety of contemporary styles, including abstract, abstract realism, impressionistic, and modern painting approaches.

Each session offers guided instruction alongside plenty of freedom to interpret, experiment, and develop your own visual voice.

About the Studio

A creative art hub, a place to play, explore, and create.

“A space for art play, exploration, and hands-on creativity. Whether you’re here for a class, a casual art session, or a special workshop, this is where inspiration takes shape."

A place for paint-covered hands, shared laughter, and art that isn’t about perfection but about play, relaxation and mindfullness.

Tucked away in an industrial estate, this studio embraces its warehouse vibes—raw, spacious, and ready for anything.

Who Am I?

Hello, I’m Michelle Barton — artist, creative business owner, and founder of The Art Clubhouse (formally The Studio @ Number 4.)

I've lived in the beautiful Macedon Ranges for over 20 years,  with my husband of over 30 years and our two daughters, who have grown up surrounded by paint, canvas, and creativity.

My professional background spans decades in finance, administration, and client services.

Alongside that structured world, I’ve always nurtured a deep creative streak. What began as a personal outlet evolved into a thriving artistic practice — MCB Studio Backdrops — where I design and hand-paint bespoke photography backdrops that are used by photographers and stylists across Australia. Each piece reflects my love of texture, colour, and storytelling through surface and light.

The Studio grew naturally from that journey — a space where creativity could extend beyond my own work and become something shared with others. It represents the balance I’ve found between business discipline and artistic exploration — a place where both structure and spontaneity have a home.

My goal is to continue fostering a creative environment that encourages curiosity, connection, and the confidence to try something new — whether on canvas, in clay, or through conversation.
